The average Lion is now about age 57. The average number of Lions in a United States club has declined from about 40 to about 30. From a high of 570,000 Lions in the United States in 1978, Lions have declined to 450,000. If the current rate of decline was to continue, clubs would become extinct in America within less than 20 years. In an increasingly competitive volunteer environment, only clubs that change with the times will thrive. Pat Cannon, The Lion.

And Lions are not alone. Many other charitable organizations, service clubs and fraternal groups are suffering the same fate. Lions clubs are rising to the challenge of surviving in an increasingly competitive environment. That is the reason for volunteers banding together and pooling their resources to form the Triple T Team and create the tools this website displays.

Implementation of Triple T is an essential ingredient to the survival of the Lions.

Your challenge is to implement the Triple T initiative at the multiple district, district, region, zone, or club level.

You will experience occasional resistance as you implement change. The following quotes are offered to encourage you to continue your efforts.

The difficulty lays not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from the old ones.
John Maynard Keynes

Most people are more satisfied with old problems, than committed to new solutions.
John C. Maxwell

Triple T Teams, at all levels are available to assist you in implementing Triple T. Remember that, if you only look at what is, you will never attain what could be.
